‘Boro’s Youth team secured their place in the quarter finals of the Hampshire FA Youth Floodlight Cup with a 5-2 win at home to Fareham Town.

Goalkeeper Nicky Slatcher and Ben Martin, members of the clubs Academy made their debut’s for the Youth side, alongside striker Edmond Umoh in a teamĀ  much changed due to injury and suspensions.

Goals from Jack Falvey, Luca Scannella, Jamie McDonald, Michael Dart and an og ensured safe passage to the next stage of the competition, although Fareham made a good fist of the game, pegging ‘Boro back to 3-2 after the home side had raced into a three goal lead.

The Youth are back in action at Cherrywood Road next Wednesday (November 21st) when they take on Reading Town in the Allied Counties Youth League, kick off at 7.45pm.
