Farnborough FC belatedly held their annual fireworks display on sunday evening.

The event was initially due to take place on Sunday 6th November but had to be postponed due to strong winds on the night.

However the event was hosted last sunday and was a huge success attracting 2,473 local residents.

Although the numbers where down on the attendees last year the club were pleased with the turnout. A spokesman for the club commented, “It was a huge disappointment that the initial display was postponed, however we have to take the advice from the experts and the firework company where unhappy with the wind conditions.

“It was a bit of a gamble delaying the event for 2 weeks but we were delighted with the numbers that attended. The event goes from strength to strength and this year we added the fun fair which seemed very well received.”

The club would like to thank everyone who attended and hope that ‘a good time was had by all’.
